LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville Cardinals open the 2020 football season this week, and they'll do so with a healthy squad.
Coach Scott Satterfield says his team has no injuries or positive COVID-19 cases heading into Saturday's home opener against Western Kentucky. The Cardinals will be COVID tested three times this week, per ACC protocols.
There will be fewer fans in the seats at Cardinal Stadium this season -- just 20% of capacity, or approximately 12,000 fans per game. Satterfield says that will mean less of a home field advantage for teams.
The Cardinals beat the Hilltoppers last year in Nashville, 38-21.
Kick-off is at 8 p.m. ET Saturday. You can hear the game on NewsRadio 840 WHAS and Cards Radio 790 KRD.
