LOUISVILLE, Ky.– The coronavirus pandemic is leading to budget cuts in the University of Louisville athletics department.
Athletics Director Vince Tyra says he plans to announce furloughs and cuts on Wednesday.
Tyra and other top sports administrators have already announced a reduction in their compensation.
Tyra says he can’t see college sports going on with nobody in the stands. He believes games won’t resume until there is a significant decline in coronavirus cases, and it’s “more difficult” without a vaccine.
