(Simpsonville, KY) - The University of Louisville men's golf team is heading to the NCAA Championships.
The Cardinals fourth place finish in the Louisville Regional at UofL Golf Club Wednesday was good enough to earn a spot in the National Championships.
Louisville sophomore Matthias Schmid led the scoring for the Cards shooting 6-under par over the three days. That was good for a second place individual finish.
The Cardinals will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas to play at the national championship from May 23-29 at the Blessing Course on the campus of Arkansas.
It's the fourth time in program history the team will compete for the national title. This is the first time the Cards have made the national championship since 2016.
